Photography

I have started with photography in the age of ten when I got a bright red pocket camera and started to take pictures of everything around me. With the years the type of camera changed a few times. I started to photograph with a SRL camera on dia film. Nowadays, I am using a digital SRL camera.

For me, photography is a way to conserve nice memories but also a means of story telling and documentation. On one hand taking pictures is a hobby for me, a reason to sit somewhere in nature for hours waiting for the right light to come, or to get up really early for watching the morning fog to rise. On the other hand, I use my pictures also for commercial purposes. They are published in magazines along with articles, a few made it into a book about phenomena in the sky and they are used for illustrating tour descriptions in tourist business.

In this gallery, there is a selection of nature pictures from different seasons up here in the North. Furthermore, there are pictures from some of the tours I have guided, plant species and last but lot least wildlife. I hope you enjoy the virtual travel :-).
